為了鼓勵影視業者至本市拍片取景及推廣影視產業，本局每年編列影視補助預算，鼓勵影視業者赴本市拍攝，扶植本市影視產業及行銷城市意象。依補助類型可分為「拍片取景補助」及「推動影視發展經費補助」兩大類型。
1.拍片取景補助
欲申請補助之影視業者可依公告時程提出申請，申請內容應包含申請書、企畫書、劇本等資料；本局受理後將交由本府影視委員會進行初審、複審作業，複審時將邀請通過初審之影視業者出席面試簡報，俾供影視委員會進行通案審議決定補助金額。請參考「臺中市政府新聞局112年度第一梯次補助影視業者拍片申請須知」及其相關附件。
2.拍片住宿、影視推廣活動、影視基地場租補助
欲申請本市拍片住宿、辦理影視推廣活動及使用中臺灣影視基地拍片之影視業者，請參考「臺中市政府新聞局推動影視發展經費補助要點」提出申請，實際補助額度由本局審定，相關申請方式請參考要點內容，本補助為常設性補助，隨到隨審，惟預算用罄後不再受理申請。

In order to encourage the film and television industry to film in the city and to promote the film and television industry, the Council sets aside an annual budget for film and television subsidies to encourage film and television industry operators to film in the city, to support the city's film and television industry and to promote the city's image. According to the type of subsidies, there are two major types of subsidies: "film shooting subsidies" and "subsidies for promoting film and television development".
1. Film Location Subsidy
The application should include the application form, project book, script, etc. After acceptance by the Bureau, the application will be submitted to the Film and Television Committee for preliminary examination and re-examination. Please refer to the "Notice of Application for the First Tier of Subsidy for Film and Television Industry in the Year 112 of the Information Bureau of Taichung City Government" and its related annexes.
2. Subsidies for filming accommodation, film promotion activities, and rental of film bases
For those who wish to apply for film lodging, film promotion activities, and use of the Central Taiwan Film and Television Base for filming, please refer to the "Funding Guidelines for Promoting Film and Television Development by the Information Bureau of the Taichung City Government" and submit an application.
